Small yet powerful servo drive
Gold Solo Mandolin is a rugged servo drive that delivers up to 2300 W continuous power or 4600 W peak power with intelligence in a compact package.
As a member of Elmo’s advanced Gold series, the Gold Solo Mandolin driver is DC powered, supports current loop, speed loop, position loop and advanced position modes, and can be used with permanent magnet synchronous brushless motors, DC brushed motors, linear motors or voice coils motor. Its design is suitable for any type of sine wave and square wave commutation and vector control.
The Gold Solo Mandolin can be powered directly from a 100-400 V DC power supply. Gold Solo Mandolin requires only mains power (VP+ and VN-) to operate, no logic power is required. If the customer needs the backup function to store control parameters, then a 18v to 40v DC power supply needs to be provided to access the driver. This design can provide customers with a very flexible backup solution choice.
Gold Solo Mandolin can be used alone or as part of a distributed multi-axis motion system over a live network. The drive is easily set up and tuned using the Elmo Application Studio (EASII) software tool, and is fully programmable through the Elmo motion control language.
