Description

Elmo’s unique “R” type servo drives design has no peak current capabilities but have continuous current capabilities that are higher than the “traditional” continuous current by 1.5!

Current limit mechanism is another feature used to protect the servo drive from damage.
In the “traditional” servo drive the current limit mechanism is done by current peak time limitation, in most of the servo drives it is limited to 3 seconds maximum.
When the “traditional” drive exceeds the peak current limit duration, the current drops to continuous current limit and the peak current is disabled until the drive current protection algorithm allows peak current again.

Elmo’s ‘R’ type servo drives are protected by smart “Thermal Operation Envelope” mechanism that  provides high continues current for long time and sustained high current for extended periods regardless the loads.
